The Kingdom of Valendor calls upon entertainers, craftspeople, warriors, adventurers and creators of all kinds to help bring Melbourne RenFair 2027 to life!

Whether you wish to entertain the crowds, share the skills of ages past or create an immersive experience for festivalgoers, there is a place for you in our kingdom. We welcome applications from individuals, community groups and organisations seeking paid or volunteer participation.

AI-generated artwork, imagery or media are not permitted in any aspect of performance or demonstration, products, stall artwork, menus, banners, signage or promotional material presented at Melbourne RenFair.

For 2027, applications have been divided into categories to make the process simpler and ensure we're asking the right questions. Please read the information below carefully before applying.

Immersion is a must

Outdoor displays must use medieval-style tents or suitable fantasy-themed structures. Modern gazebos and pop-up marquees are not permitted. Themed tents may be available for hire.

Which entertainer are you?

Entertainment & Performers

For those who wish to entertain the people of Valendor!

Musicians, dancers, actors, jesters, storytellers, puppeteers, roaming characters and performers of all kinds are invited to take the stage or wander the kingdom.

This application is for live entertainment and performances, in an allocated performance area or roaming throughout the festival.
Availability: Performers may apply for one, two or all three festival days.

Activations & Experiences

For those who wish to bring adventure and wonder to the realm!

From interactive games and quests to children's activities, LARP experiences, themed photo opportunities and fantasy workshops, we seek those who can create memorable experiences for our visitors. This application is for fixed-location activities and attractions that patrons can enjoy or participate in free of charge.

Availability: All activations must operate across all three festival days.

Demonstrations & Living History

For those who keep the traditions and skills of the old world alive!

Reenactment groups, medieval encampments, blacksmiths, traditional craftspeople, historical combat groups and living history enthusiasts are called upon to share their knowledge and skills. This application is for historical and fantasy displays, encampments, educational demonstrations and traditional crafts.

Availability: All demonstrations and living history displays must operate across all three festival days.
